Abridge

Abridge is located in the south east Near Abridge, JP Andre 1837
corner of the district.  It takes its
name from Aeffa's Bridge, an ancient
structure carrying the road across the
river Roding.  The remains of a Roman
villa have been discovered at Hill Farm
just outside Abridge. The primary schools
in and around here are Lambourne Primary
School in Hoe Lane and Stapleford Abbotts
Primary School in Stapleford Abbotts.
