Buckhurst Hill

Buckhurst Hill is a residential area.  St John's Church, Buckhurst Hill
It was established during the 19th
century as a result of the extension
of the railway from London towards
Epping.  Terraced cottages and larger
houses were built on forest land
between the station and the High Road. 
This sketch shows St John's Church on
the High Road as it originally appeared
without a spire.

Primary schools in Buckhurst Hill include
St John's C of E Primary School, Buckhurst
Hill Community Primary School and Braeside School.
