Epping

The name Epping comes from the Epping, Lucien Pissarro c. 1893
Anglo-Saxon for 'up' and 'cultivated
lands'. Epping Upland is the oldest
part of Epping. In the mid 13th
century a charter was granted to
Epping to hold a weekly market,
which still continues today.

Epping include Epping Primary School,
Epping Upland Primary School, Ivy
Chimneys Primary School, Coopersale
and Theydon Garnon Primary School, and Coopersale Hall School.
